CPTU static penetration test procedure
- Prepare equipment and location:
- Select a suitable test site and ensure the CPTU equipment is in good working condition.
- Check and prepare measuring equipment, including penetration probes, pressure sensors and other auxiliary equipment.
- Conduct the experiment:
- Place the penetrator in the selected location and begin the static penetrative process.
- The probe is pushed into the soil at a constant speed, recording parameters such as penetration force, pore water pressure and friction along the depth.
- Data collection and analysis:
- Collect data from sensors and measuring devices.
- Analyze data to determine soil physical properties, including bearing capacity, density, coefficient of friction, and pore water pressure.
- Prepare results report:
- Synthesize and analyze data obtained from the experiment.
- Prepare detailed reports on test results, providing necessary information for project design and construction.
